Bedgebury Overnighter

A work event near Bedgebury on Thursday afternoon last week gave a good excuse to ride down the night before, sleep there and attend the event and ride home, as a nice bonus overnighter this month.

A 30km, tarmac, route each way was better than nothing, but got a little monotonous after a while. It was a good test of a set of new SQ Lab Innerbarends though – which will have a review soon).

After work on the Wednesday I finished loading the bike up and rode for a few hours to my chosen bivvy spot.

I was glad to have some shelter, as things got a bit wet and windy overnight

The bonus with this overnighter was that I worked in the visitor centre at Bedgebury for the morning, before the event.

Thankfully my bike (and myself) remained largely clean and dry, as it later spent a few hours sitting the corner of the room during the work event!
